This summer of 2024, Where the Sidewalk Ends Bookstore celebrates its 20th anniversary! We were charmed by this mother-daughter-owned bookstore in a lovely, two-story “antique” barn with an attached stroller-friendly children’s annex full of educational books and enriching toys. The private parking lot is a big plus in busy Chatham. A sweet, covered deck offers seasonal outdoor seating. The shop offers author events, autographed copies, audio downloads, children’s tea parties and story time.
In addition, the shop offers an Author Literary Luncheons series held at the Wequassett Resort, overlooking Pleasant Bay. Summer 2024 events not yet sold out include authors Ann Leary, Catherine Newman, Peter Swanson, Emily Habeck, Juliet Grames, and Brooke Lea Foster.
