TESS CALLAHAN is the author of the novels APRIL & OLIVER published by Grand Central Publishing (USA), Random House (UK), and by publishers in Italy and The Netherlands, and DAWNLAND (forthcoming) published by Little A. Her short work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Writer’s Digest, AGNI (Pushcart Prize nomination), Narrative Magazine (Story of the Week), AWP Notebook, The Common Magazine, The Independent Teacher, BEST LITTLE BOOK CLUB IN TOWN, The Writer’s Brush, Best American Poetry blog, Project Eve,  Ms. Career Girl, Chicago Woman, Swaay, Powell’s Books Original Essay Series, National Public Radio’s “Three Books” series, the STYLUS ANTHOLOGY, New York Newsday, Boston College Magazine, and Women & Home South Africa Magazine. She offers advice to fellow creatives in her Writer’s Bone interview and TEDx Talk, and curates the website Muse-feed.com, a toolbox for aspiring writers. She is a certified meditation teacher taught by Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. A dual citizen of the USA and Ireland, Tess holds a BA in English from Boston College, a M.Ed from SUNY Buffalo, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Bennington College. She owes her sanity to the four paws in her life.
